Dental procedures are treatments or services that experts perform to check, fix or improve the health of the teeth, gums or mouth. They can include routine care, fillings, braces, teeth removal and more.
Brushing and toothpaste
During routine cleanings, a dental expert will clean your child’s teeth. Fluoride toothpaste helps fight cavities, clean teeth and keep breath fresh.
Start brushing your child’s teeth at home around age 2 and help them until they’re 7 or 8. Use a soft toothbrush and just a small amount of toothpaste. Brush twice a day using small, gentle circles to clean all sides of the teeth and the tongue.
Sealants
Dental sealants are thin, plastic coatings that a dentist paints onto the chewing surfaces of back teeth. They help keep food and plaque out, helping prevent to cavities in hard-to-clean areas.
Mouthguards
A mouthguard is a soft plastic piece that fits in the mouth to protect teeth during sports or rough play. You can find pre-made mouthguards in most sporting goods stores. Your child's dentist can also make a custom mouthguard for your child.
Dental fillings
We treat cavities and prevent them from getting worse. Fillings help protect your child’s teeth, relieve their pain and keep their smile healthy as they grow.
Orthodontics and braces
Orthodontics is a special type of dental care that helps correct issues with how the teeth and jaws align. Braces can improve how your child’s teeth look and function.
Wisdom teeth extractions
Wisdom teeth grow in as the third set of molars at the back of the mouth. In many people, there isn’t enough space for them. This can lead to pain and other problems, so dentists often suggest removing wisdom teeth.
Dental emergencies
A dental emergency is any urgent dental issue that needs immediate care. This may be to stop pain, control bleeding or save a tooth.

Our dental clinics are calm spaces designed for kids. The dental team will explain the next steps in simple terms to help your child feel safe and relaxed.
The care team may use medicine to numb your child’s mouth, so they don’t feel pain during the procedure.
