• The Gender Health Program offers support to children with gender identity development and transition concerns.
• We provide resources to support many aspects of life as a transgender child.
• We provide emotional and social support, as well as medical support through hormone therapy.

• You will receive a call from our Gender Health Clinic nurse to set up an appointment for your child.

• At your first clinic visit, you will see endocrinology and psychology.
• This appointment will take about two hours.
• We will ask more questions about your child’s past health and may do a physical exam if the provider feels it is needed. The team may ask your child to give some blood for tests. This is to help make decisions about their care.
• The Gender Health Clinic asks families to be equal partners in the discussion and next steps for your child. We will ask for your thoughts and opinions.
