Learning Activities by Grade Level
Street Smarts Lesson
In this video-based lesson students will learn how to safely cross the street, and why it’s important to cross with an adult until the age of 10. They will also learn how traffic signals can make it safer for pedestrians to cross the street.
Pedestrian Pathways Game
In this game, students must find the crossing guard’s hat, whistle, vest and stop sign and return them to her. As they use the map to walk around town and find each item, they must answer questions about pedestrian safety each time they want to cross a street.
