The “Zink the Zebra” story was written by a young girl named Kelly Weil, who was treated differently by other children while going through cancer treatment. Zink the Zebra has spots instead of stripes, resulting in her being treated differently than other zebras. The story of Zink the Zebra can be used as a starting point for learning about differences.
