The Children's Wisconsin Safety Center helps families keep kids and teens safe from injury. We offer education and support for all ages. We also partner with community groups to provide resources for families.

Many types of injuries can occur in the home and during play. By childproofing the home, staying watchful, and having safety rules in place, you can help prevent these injuries.

Community Partners

Children’s Wisconsin leads Safe Kids Wisconsin, part of Safe Kids Worldwide. Its focus is to help families prevent injuries and keep kids safe.

Through safety education, resources, and local groups, we provide ways to prevent:

  • Car and pedestrian accidents
  • Falls
  • Burns
  • Poisonings
  • Drownings

Children’s Wisconsin also leads this group. It unites local groups to prevent childhood injuries. It serves Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties.

It focuses on:

  • Car seat safety and teen driving
  • Bicycle and pedestrian safety
  • Fire prevention and home safety

Children’s Wisconsin and Safe Kids Wisconsin lead this program. This is possible through a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. It helps families keep kids safe in and around vehicles.

It includes:
